Altosid® IGR Solutions

The most convenient way to control horn flies in beef and dairy cattle on pasture is to give them a supplement or feed containing Altosid® IGR. To fit your unique needs, Altosid® IGR is formulated in a range of solutions, including mineral blocks, tubs, liquid feed supplements and as a premix that can be top dressed or mixed into feed.

The active ingredient in Altosid® IGR has no known horn fly resistance and is not harmful to beneficial insects, such as dung beetles.

Altosid® IGR is an insect growth regulator (IGR) that passes through the animal and into the manure, where horn flies lay their eggs. It breaks the horn fly life cycle by preventing pupae from developing into biting adult flies
